What’s Goin’ On in 2021

Highlights from this year so far:

I had the honor of being in the house band led by Martin Guigui that played at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, as Billy Gibbons was inducted into their Hall of Fame with an all star lineup that included Jimmie Vaughn, Lucinda Williams, Larkin Poe, Travis Tritt, Dennis Quaid, Eric Church and Brad Paisley.

On the heels of that experience, I was reunited with my Basic Cable Band mates Jimmy Vivino, Scott Healy and James Wormworth as we supported Conan O’ Brien while he finished out his 28 year run as a nightly talkshow host.

In beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho, smack in the middle of July, Janie Tillotson started an outdoor concert series that I helped kick off with my Basic Cable Band mates Jimmy Vivino and The Worm, with special guests Jake and Curtis Stigers.

In August, filling in for my bass brother from another mother, Jason Langley, I did some east coast dates with The Jimmy Carpenter Band, and went on to be the house bassist in this year’s Big Blues Bender in Las Vegas, where I had a chance to play with Joanna Conner, Jimmy Hall, John Nemeth, Terri Odabi, Kat Riggins, Chris Cain, Albert Castiglia and Tab Benoit.

Looking forward to fall, and a live show with Conan O’Brien at LA’s Wiltern Theater, where he’ll be doing a live version of his immensely popular podcast, “Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend “.

Then I get to go back to my old stomping grounds in Philly, where I’ll be a guest on The Last Waltz Tribute Concert at the Franklin Music Hall. There’s more to come.
